The mission of Maven Driver Training LLC is to deliver high-quality driver training, promote safe and lawful driving habits and enable students to pass the NY State road test with ease.  

It is our philosophy that defensive, safe and lawful driving is the primary skill required for passing the road test, remaining accident-free and avoiding traffic violations. 

We envision a future in which roads are safer for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. We will achieve our vision by promoting the benefits of safe, defensive and lawful driving habits to our students.

Role:

The primary role of a driving instructor is to offer suggestions and positive reinforcement to encourage inexperienced drivers to adopt safe and lawful driving habits.

Duties include:

• Conducting high-quality behind-the-wheel driving lessons for inexperienced drivers 

• Taking note of skills taught in each lesson

• Receiving payments and issuing receipts

Qualifications:

• must be at least 21 years of age

• must have a driver license that

  • has been valid for at least 2 years 

  • has not been suspended or revoked in the last 2 years

  • shows an acceptable driving record

• must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma

• must never have been convicted of a felony or of any crime 

• must pass the required driving instructor tests, which include:

  • vision test

  • road-sign test

  • written test

  • driving test
